At one of our Mommy group play dates a couple of weeks ago we decorated ornaments with our kids. I liked the idea so much that I decided to do it on my own and decorate ornaments for Grandparents and Great-Grandparents for Christmas. Ayla and I spent a couple hours one afternoon decorating ornaments. I bought some unbreakable ornaments, some glitter paint, some puffy little balls, and a few other craft supplies. Ayla had a great time. I was happy with the end result. Here are a couple of the ornaments we made.
I used white paint to make the hand prints on the ornaments and then I used glitter paint to put the hats, eyes, nose, and mouth on the snowmen.
This is the only one with Caiden's hand print that turned out. It was very hard getting him to open his hand and press it on the ornament without smearing it. Because this is the only one with Caiden's hand print I kept this one. Ayla's all turned out very well and we were able to make enough that we gave lots out for presents and we still had a couple to keep.
